.ARTIST: TIËSTO .italian version

Tiësto has mastered the subtleties of his art over the course of a long and ever-snowballing career. He began playing records at local, drive-in disco shows, at the age of 16 years old. In time, he had graduated to The Spock, a well-known club in his hometown of Breda, Netherlands, where he slowly perfected a blend of house beats and bass-heavy grooves that were distinctly different from the tunes of the most Dutch Dj's of the era. He soon came to the attention of Rotterdam label Basic Beat Recordings, which released his first series of mix cds, " Forbidden Paradise ".
But the more he learned about the music business, the more Tiësto sought to ensure he maintained close control over the releases that bore his name. So in 1997 with partner Arny Bink, he formed his own label, Black Hole Recordings , home to his next batch of mix cd's, the "In Search of Sunrise" and " Magik " compilations. As his reputation throughout Europe began to grow, seasoned ears in North America took note. In 2000, Nettwerk America signed Tiësto to a stateside deal and released " Summerbreeze "; an incredibly successful mix cd. The disc's highpoint his epic remix of " Silence " by Delirium, featuring vocals by Sarah McLachlan, peaked at # 3 on the Billboard charts and etched Tiësto 's name on the hearts of countless new fans.
In 2002, Tiësto took another step forward with his debut artist album, "In My Memory". This collection of different tracks included the highlights " Flight 643 "; " Lethal Industry ", " Obsession ", and his signature closing tune, "Suburban Train", all of which met with European chart success, with the latter two breaking into the Uk Top 10 . With his profile on the rise, he was tapped to remix tracks for a variety of other artists, including Sarah MacLachlan, BT, Faithless and Moby (his famed remix of " The Space Between " by Dave Matthews Band remains officially unreleased). Moby also asked Tiësto to participate in his Area2 tour, where he shared the bill with fellow travellers like Carl Cox and John Digweed, as well as headliners including David Bowie.
Tiësto's best memory of 2002, was garnering the # 1 Dj spot from renowned magazine Dj Mag. With 2003's " Nyana ", Tiësto most successful mix cd to date, Tiësto continued to fill his trophy cabinet; # 1 Dj in the world in Dj Mag's reader 's poll yet again Best International Dj at the Dancestar Usa Awards. A commercially daunting double-mix cd that proved his most successful to date, " Nyana" , showcased all the facets of his Dj style: " The Outside " (Disc 1) and "The Inside" (Disc 2). " The Inside " is the warmer, slower and more progressive while " The Outside " relays more of his large scale productions, harder fast and a little more uplifting. Wrapping up 2003 and moving into 2004, Tiësto played solo to 25000 people in Holland, at the infamous Tiësto in concert. Never, in any area of the world, had a single Dj played a stadium show this huge. He finished the year by headlining New Year's Eve in Australia. The beginning of 2004 looks no less promising, as Tiësto is already gracing the cover of Remix Magazine as well as being featured in a prominent Billboard cover story, moving forward with his new artist album " Just Be ".
