Cappella project was born at the end of 80s, and it's mostly the creation of producer Gianfranco Bortolotti.
Cappella's success marked the international discographic history. The name of the project was chosen to emphasize the idea of "renaissance", in the sense of new musical direction at the end of 80s. Cappella's name infact refers to the famous chapels painted in fresco by great Italian painters during the "Renaissance".
The explosive and winning beginning was with "Bauhaus/Push the Beat", perceived all over the world as a symbol of Italian House Music. Few later Cappella created Techno sound phenomenon, or better Media Sound phenomenon. Just think they conquered Top 10 chart, with 6 singles and an album running!
Among their numerous productions we can mention their second step, remained in Music history, "Helyom Halib" a single that climbed English Top 10 chart in 1988. We can mention also "Take me away" (with Loleatta Holloway) and "Everybody" both entered in the English Top 30 chart. In 1993 the track "U Got 2 Know" gained an indescribable success, going on the top of the most important charts and selling more than 1, 5 million of copies. The single "U Got 2 Let the Music", in few weeks reached excellent positions in many charts. Once more time "Cappella"'s phenomenon was confirmed: champion in sale and in positions (we can mention the second position in the prestigious Music Week Top 75 official chart, where it was present for 9 weeks). It followed "Move on Baby", it overcame the precedent productions in sale (not only: it was Top One in English club chart, and number one in European sale chart). The results were incredible: the fact that a dance single conquered pop market was much talked. The album "U Got 2 Know" was also very appreciated. "U & Me" and "Move it Up" sales overcame the successes gained with the precedent singles. In 1995 was released "Tell Me The Way", well promoted by the clip; it was also remixed by Van Helden. There are a lot of other releases by Cappella, but it is impossible to mention all!
2002: we talked about Cappella for another time, thanks to the revival of a past success: "U Got 2 Know" - 2002 version , with Mauro Picotto, Joy Kitikonti and Beam vs Cyrus remixes'.
Now everything is ready to satisfy the huge await: it's coming a new project by Cappella, started with "Angel" single. Behind this important project, there is the unmistakable style of the producer Gianfranco Bortolotti, the creator and the father of Cappella Sound. We can also mention Paola Peroni's collaboration, that gives us her remix. It could not lack the touch, and especially, the remix of one of the most bright djs: Joy Kitikonti.
